I am not sure how long it will last. As this method has been around for a while. For starters you will need to buy the game of off Amazon. Steam DRM You can find other versions like the bundles but i think they recently sold out. Once you have bought and activated the code on your steam account.

So I bought Fable III during the sale, and played it through and finished the main quest (became king and beat the darkness, yada yada). Then I saw that the Traitor's Keep DLC was available, so I went and got that. I was able to get the Activation key.

Then you can buy the DLC. As far as i know this is the only way you can still get the DLC. Which took me a while to work out.

Wont install or even download my purchases. Luckily i have backups.

Though not of this content. It is weird you say it doesn't work. As you cant even buy the DLC without the steam version. Before i was using a friends steam account and playing. Though i had no access to the dlc. I will look into it some more.

EDIT: Quick question Haddock. Did you redeem the steam codes ingame while signed in? Or did you assume they will work straight away?

Might be worth a try. Ok the GFWL servers were down all January, meaning nothing was downloading or installing. It is now working again so everything is fine. Haddock you have to put the DLC codes into xbox.com then install the DLC with the GFWL Marketplace. Even though steam says it is installed it actually isnt.Unfortunately, all my codes appear to be steam codes, not GFWL.so I'm out of luck. Of course my save file was corrupt, so I have to play through the whole game to get to the DLC.but that's OK.I liked the game, lol For those who do this, take your keys (Right side of screen on Steam) and redeem them on Xbox.com. You then have to install them from the GFWL marketplace, but works perfectly with the game running on Steam. Nvm, tried that cjs-cdkeys thingy, looks absolutely dodgy as fuck website, but (after taking a risk) it got me the code and wasn't that expensive.I know right. But it does work. Even though the site says this 'You are buying Fable III + 4 DLCs pack Steam ( 5 codes: game + Dog Breed/Dog Outfit/Industrial Knight/Understone Quest)', it also comes with. So that site gives you 5 paid DLC, so that is a really sweet deal.
